CLARA MASEDA JUAN, currently completing a Master’s degree in Architecture for Communities, Territories and the Environment – ACTA at the Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II (Naples), with a BA(Hons) Architecture and Planning from UWE (Bristol) and a MA Programme in “Philosophy for contemporary challenges” at UOC (Barcelona) with her thesis Desiring to find a “gap”. She has participated as a facilitator and guest artist in various workshops for universities and public administrations. She has collaborated with art, design and architecture collectives such as Todo por la Praxis and Basurama, and was a co-founder of Nada Colectivo. Her interest in understanding the craft dimension led her to train in luthiery, music and dance. After working as a freelance illustrator for international architecture studios and experimenting with various media, in 2023 she founded SPIRAKLO, an illustration and design studio specializing in architectural, urban and territorial illustration, through which she deepens her professional research into the multiple ways of representing inhabitable space. As a spatial practitioner, she commits to unfolding the membranes of imagining from a situated perspective on the often-invisibilized dimensions of relational systems.
