SECOND YEAR STUDIO WORK TUTORED BY DAVID LITTLEFIELD: A TRANSGRESSIVE HOUSE FOR 6 PEOPLE.

PROYECTO DE SEGUNDO AÑO CON LA TUTORÍA DE DAVID LITTLEFIELD: UNA CASA TRANSGRESORA PARA 6 PERSONAS.

Accepting human vulnerability “creates connections as a result of authenticity” (Brown, 2011). A building of two floors with a strict grid is developed where all walls are panels that can be moved up and down. The changing panels generates uncertainty and disorder thus vulnerability and insecurity. This project embraces uncertainty and transgresses it to encourage sociability within the house through collaboration and agreement between the inhabitants.

Aceptar la vulnerabilidad humana “crea conexiones como resultado de la autenticidad” (Brown, 2011). Se desarrolla un edificio de dos pisos con una cuadrícula estricta donde todas las paredes son paneles que se pueden mover hacia arriba y hacia abajo. Los paneles cambiantes generan incertidumbre y desorden y, por tanto, vulnerabilidad e inseguridad. Este proyecto abraza la incertidumbre y la transgrede para invitar a la sociabilidad dentro de la casa a través de la colaboración y el acuerdo entre los habitantes.

Each room of the building is measured to allocate a total of 5×5 units of furniture.

Each inhabitant has 15 units and a rolling mattress to generate their spaces. Allowing them to have a bed, chair, table and storage space. There are 20 units for common areas.

There is a need to achieve agreements upon not only the walls of the building but also the furniture provoking much more communication and sociability between the users.

Cada habitación esta medida para distribuir un total de 5×5 unidades de mobiliario.

Cada habitante tiene 15 unidades y un colchón plegable para generar sus espacios. Permitiéndoles tener una cama, una silla, una mesa y un espacio de almacenamiento. Hay 20 unidades para las áreas comunes.

Es necesario lograr acuerdos no sólo sobre las paredes del edificio sino también sobre el mobiliario propiciando mucha más comunicación y sociabilidad entre los usuarios.
